Description
The Ride Control System Engineer for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA will design and modify safety-critical control systems that control the movement of ride vehicles in attractions. These control system are similar to industrial control systems used in factories. They will modify and improve existing safety control systems and design and test new control systems. They will manage schedules and budgets and supervise technicians when doing work for projects. They will assist park maintenance staff with troubleshooting, training, and obsolescence. They will need to utilize electrical, electronic, and/or computer science skills. Diligence, integrity, and an attention to detail are critical qualities for a successful candidate because of the safety critical nature of the job.

WE REQUIRE:
BA/BS Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science
5-10 years experience Designing industrial control systems and/or software development.
Highly skilled in one or more of the following:
Industrial Control Design, Safety System Design, Object Oriented Software Design, PLC Programming, Industrial Electrical/Electronic Design
Working Familiarity with many of the following:
Industrial Control Design, Safety System Design, Object Oriented Software, PLC Programming, Industrial Electrical/Electronic Design, Hazard Analysis, Fault Trees, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems, Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Maintenance Issues, Reliability Analysis, Roller Coaster Physics
Integrity and a strong grounding in engineering ethics appropriate for working with safety systems.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills, both with internal staff and with outside entities
Meticulous attention to detail
Time management skills to prioritize multiple and changing demands.df-tc
