Description
Service Engineer II is a position for the experienced engineer that will use the candidate’s knowledge of IP networking and associated hardware to provide in-depth troubleshooting of hardware and software issues within the Cisco router and switch device line at remote sites via phone and remote access tools. Additional responsibilities will be organizing the planning and implementation of a backbone IP network for a small or medium business.Qualifications• BS/BA in a relevant field• 4+ years’ work experience• CCIP Certification

Experience/Skills
Requirements• Good knowledge of core routing and switching topics• Good knowledge of network design best practices• Good knowledge of IP routing protocols• Good knowledge of Layer 2 protocols for the WAN and LAN• Good knowledge of IP addressing best practices• Must be able to manage a small or medium business network upgrade• Must be willing to be on call 24x7x365Skills to be Considered• Familiarity with non-Cisco routing and switching platforms, especially Juniper and Foundry.
