Description
â?¢ Help Progress Telecom with administration and troubleshooting their wireless networks (Motorola Canopy and supporting switches & routers).
â?¢ Support and troubleshoot a fixed wireless TDM / data network and associated routing equipment including multipoint and point-to-point services.

Requirements:

â?¢ Position requires comprehensive understanding of fixed wireless technologies used to deliver point-to-point and point-to-multipoint services, and experience in the design and administration of IP based routed networks.
â?¢ Must understand principles of RF link design and operation, RF interference, and interconnection between wireless equipment and SONET or IP networking equipment.
â?¢ Must also understand fundamentals of SONET and TDM based services including DS-1, DS-3, OC-3, and OC-12 circuit types.
â?¢ Individual must have strong technical and troubleshooting skills, and be able to quickly isolate and resolve network troubles between the wireless equipment and Layer 2 \ Layer 3 or SONET devices.
â?¢ Individual is also responsible for lab testing and evaluation of new technologies and equipment, and maintenance (e.g. software upgrades) of existing network facilities.
â?¢ Job requires collaboration with sales engineering department for network design and on call availability 24/7 for network emergencies.
