Description
We are currently seeking to fill a SAN Administrator position for our client in Chicago, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Overview:
Uses demonstrated knowledge and experience in primary area of technical expertise to design, build, test, and maintain storage platforms that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Understands impacts of infrastructure on business operations
- Builds, tests, and maintains SAN, storage, and associated infrastructure
- Ensures that data storage solutions implemented and supported to meet CCC's internal and external standards and service level requirements
- Solves problems related to installation, implementation, maintenance, and operations of SAN and data storage solutions and related infrastructure components
- Serves on cross-functional project teams as the data storage subject matter expert.
- Documents system design and related processes

Qualifications:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Assumes total responsibility for work assigned and delivers on commitments
- Takes ownership of problems and/or issues and ensures timely resolution
- Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement of the SAN and storage environment
- Is able to respond quickly and adapt to changes in priorities driven by a dynamic marketplace
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of information systems experience in a medium to large enterprise systems environment supporting mission-critical systems and applications.
- A high degree of demonstrated technical excellence in his/her technical specialty.
- Excellent problem solving skills across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 2 – 4 years of focused experience with SAN and data storage technologies
- Mid to Senior level experience with EMC Symmetrix and EMC Clariion
- Mid to Senior level experience with SRDF technologies (SRDF-A, Sancopy)
- Mid to Senior level experience with EMC platform management software products – including ECC, SYMCLI, NAVICLI, and Navisphere Manager
- Mid to Senior level experience with SAN installation and maintenance
- Mid to Senior level experience in OS administration for platforms connected to SAN (Windows, Unix)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a structured, ITIL process based environment
- Experience working on Disaster Recovery exercises a plus
