Description
A SAN Architect to design, build and install Storage Area Networks; to design, build and install enterprise backup solutions; to assist in integration of custom applications; to manage technical project teams in the delivery of storage solutions.
? Must have worked in a large enterprise environment (10,000+ users)
? Implementation Experience i.e., enterprise implementations
? Ability to document processes.
? Skilled in interpreting customer requirements and turning them into solutions (functional requirements).

Engineering background
? Must have 12 ? 20 years experience in Information Technology with at least 3 years as systems designer/architect.
? Must have 6 years experience with Windows desktop platforms, 2 years experience with Windows XP,
? Must have 5 years experience with networked storage (SAN, NAS, DAS).
? Must have at least 3 years experience with enterprise backup and recovery systems.
? EMC, NexSAN and Brocade experience is a plus
? Must have a working knowledge of IT on broad basis. This will include networking, operations, platforms, testing and SDLC processes
? Must be current with current storage technology trends
? Storage, Microsoft and UNIX certifications are a plus.

General Skills
? Articulate, able to communicate complex technologies to both technical and non-technical audiences
? Experience with the federal government is a plus.
? Strong oral and written communications skills
o Must be able to present and interact with groups of diverse technical expertise
o Must be able to develop documentation for SDLC processes, reports, white papers, as well as typical systems documentation.

Business will be conducted in the Greater DC Metro area. Limited CONUS travel may be required.

US citizenship is required. Candidate must be clearable to Top Secret.df-tc
