CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people to help us grow! We are looking for a SAP ABAP Programmer. This role will,

- Audit the SAP Development team to ensure internal Change Control processes are being adhered to.
- Support full life cycle of the Change Control process SAPs Solution Manager/CHarMS.
- Perform QA checks on the technical design, coding and performance of all development work.
- Review all development team transports.
- Review all activities of the development team that are related to deployments and production support.
- Assign tasks to, and monitor activities of, the development resources.
- Provide status reports to management of all development resource activity.
- Support auxiliary programming activities like OSS notes and Third Party interfaces/applications.
- Participate in review meeting with offshore team leads. Ensure offshore development resources are adhering to company policies and change control processes.
- Conduct training, as needed, for development resources.
- Possess sound technical knowledge of all technical aspects of SAP (Programming; SDLC methodologies; etc).
- Support and coordinate release management activities with functional and business resources as per business priorities.
- Maintain all required documentation.
- Provide support during upgrade activities. Coordinate with other internal/external teams.
- Provide support for system/client copy and refresh activities.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Prefer Masters Degree in Information Systems, or related field. Minimum of 4 years experience with development and transport systems.
Knowledge in creating and maintaining project plans in MS Project.

Knowledge and practical experience using SAPscript for creating business forms such as invoices, bills of lading, pick/load sheets, purchase orders, etc.

Knowledge and practical experience creating screens and transactions for handheld RF devices used in Mobile Data Entry would be helpful.

Knowledge and practical experience writing ABAP reports, enhancing SAP custom programs, developing interfaces from/to SAP, coding user exits, and mass data conversions.

Solid understanding of the SAP data model and relevant master data elements (Material Master, Customer Master, Pricing records and condition technique, customer material information records, etc.).

Functional knowledge of the integration points between SAP modules (PP, FICO, SD, MM, etc.).

Work experience in the Automotive Aftermarket and OEM in an SAP environment preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Ability to troubleshoot programs and enhance their performance.

Good understanding of SAP Database tables and archiving processes.

Ability to interface with people at different levels within an organization.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional project teams.

Ability to motivate team members to meet deadlines.

Hands on experience in developing ABAP programs in SAP, version 4.6 or higher. Experience in version ECC DIMP 5.0 would be helpful.

Knowledge of interface architecture (EAI) concept between different systems. Understanding Workflow and error handling.

Ability to create functional design, technical design and unit test plans from requirement gathering workshops.
