Description
Responsibilities
Responsible for participating in the IT development, maintenance and enhancements of the functional areas of an SAP package. This position requires knowledge of the APO application with specific knowledge of the Supply Network Planning (SNP) and Production Planning Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) processes.
Collaborate with company customers, staff, IT and other stakeholders to determine user requirements, assess available technologies and recommend solution options.
Customize SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.
Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that may inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
Assist in the project to upgrade the APO application from 4.0 to 5.1

Skills and Knowledge
Comprehensive understanding of SAPs customizing toolset
SAP configuration skills in one APO
Solid understanding of SAP data model
Thorough business understanding of the Supply Chain Planning process, as well as an understanding of the organizations industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks
Familiarity with SAP architecture

Working Relationships

Internal:

Reports to Manager, Competence Center and/or SAP Project Manager
Regularly works with variety of IT resources.

External:

Has contact with vendors, industry peers, and professional associations to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies
