Description
  • Lead the mySAP Development group in all technical areas for SAP (ABAP, SAPscript)
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for Programmers
  • Perform programming code reviews
  • Control parallel processing and version control across multiple landscapes
  • Comprehend a highly customized SAP environment and drive towards standardization and excellence
  • Assure compliance by Development team for all policies, quality, documentation, coding and testing standards
  • Strong performance tuning skills for high volume activity
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training on work tools used by Programmer and Business Analyst, e.g. Remedy, InfoPak, Mercury Quality Center, QA and Change Control, Gold Client
  • Evaluate and approve all transports
  • Ensure efficient use of RevTrac tool
  • Drive improvements in development processes and performance
  • Assess and implements controls to prevent risks arising from coding
  • Provide creative and innovative coding solutions
  • Assist in interview process for additional staff
  • Assist managers in scheduling of work and supervision of related tasks
  • Provide evaluations of new applications and software tools
  • Drive elimination of variability in production outcomes which are dependent on Information Systems, using Six Sigma approach
  • Monitor and action all system alerts with appropriate urgency and notify relevant parties
  • Support the applications during testing of technical changes such as patches and upgrades
  • Provide after hours support for global critical concerns
  • Fill in for managers in their absence
  • Develop custom code to specification
  • Analyze and recommend design solutions for technical requirements
  • Analyze problems and resolve Remedy cases as required

    Experience/Skills
  • A Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent, 7+ years ABAP and 3+ years in leadership role
  • Structured quality management systems
  • Worked in a fast paced complex global environment
  • Proven leadership ability

  • Ability to review code types other than ABAP
