Description
CDI is currently looking for a SAP Applications Manager.


Provide an overview of the work group and context it operates within.

Describe the purpose of the group/business unit.

This position will report within the Applications Development and Support group and will mainly focus on new project execution, new functionality and business process improvements.

Provides user support for Manufacturing Operations users of SAP R/3.

Direct problem resolution, evaluate new applications and solutions to existing business problems.

Major Responsibilities and Role Within Group.

Works with the user community to identify their requirements, design enhancements and functionality to help meet user requirements.

Manage projects associated with the OPS functional area of SAP.

Provide functional process ownership of MM and PP areas.

Performs configuration work as needed to support new and existing functionality.

Prepares functional specifications and delivers to ABAP developers.

Works with the user community to determine the best solution to help resolve customer problems and satisfy customer requirements.

Manage testing associated with new development.

Performs integration testing work as necessary to insure that new functionality or enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.

Coaches and Mentors other SAP Analysts.

Provides oversight to various SAP Projects to assess overall impact on shared instance.

Performs as Project Manager on small-medium complexity projects.

Utilizes ASAP methodology and tasks required during each phase of the implementation.

Maintains service level agreements to insure prompt responses to customer inquiries.


Management Responsibilities:

Provide management of SAP resources for problem solving and project execution. Performance reviews, daily task management, prioritization of work.

Must have ability to create relationships with key stakeholders.

Technical/Functional Core Competencies.

5 to 10 years previous work experience with inventory management, manufacturing, warehouse environment or Production Planning in a large sized company.

Possesses 5-7 years of SAP experience with established proficiency in multiple SAP application areas. (i.e. MM, PP, WM)

Participated in 3-5 full project lifecycle implementations using ASAP methodology.

Must possess strong analytical and diagnostic skills.

Minimum of four years of experience doing process decomposition/mapping and BPR. (business process reengineering).


Leadership Core Competencies:

At least 3 years of project management experience.

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be a self starter and team player.

Must possess strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
