Description
SUMMARY
  • To develop and implement our SAP business reporting requirements.
  • Test and validate reports with the users and provide report training as our client rolls out their new SAP implementation.
  • Should have experience with most of the following: - Business analysis and user interface experience, creating/building infocubes, multicubes, ODS, writing transfer and update rules, reporting experience including BEx, or Crystal
    Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the development and testing of BW (InfoObjects, Data and Info Sources, ODS, InfoCubes, Infosets, APDs, etc.) and data extractors, as required
  • Ability to work an on-call schedule as required (off-hours as needed).
  • Supports users of assigned systems in terms of problem resolution, training and general support.
  • Participates in establishing, documenting, maintaining and following Information Technology standards.
  • Develops and maintains current, personal knowledge and skills on industry and professional trends and activities in Information Technology.
  • Shares learning and coaching experience through knowledge transfers between peers and outside contractors.
  • Work with business analysts to translate functional design into technical specifications and with programmers to implement high quality solutions
  • Ability to accurately estimate work effort and time estimates for BW developments
  • Ability to develop and manage to work plans
  • Participate in the creation of BW development standards
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent performance skills in tuning data warehouse objects and BW landscape

    Experience/Skills
  • A BS degree, 5-8 years of IT experience and 4 years of SAP BW (3.0) or higher
  • Experience with Logistics and Financial applications
  • Involved in at least 2 full life cycle BW implementations
  • Involved in at least 1 full life cycle of a planning implementation
  • Have knowledge in at least 1-2 functional areas. (SD, MM, PP, FI)
  • Exp. with SAP BW BEx Query development, ABAP programming, data dictionary objects, infosets, transports, etc.)
  • Strong Knowledge in SAP BW tool set including creating Infocubes, ODS, Multi Providers, Infosources, Data Sources, Update Rules and Transfer Rules.
  • Deeper Knowledge in SAP business processes for developing BW extractors.
  • Pluses include - SAP BW certification, Web Application Designer for developing Web deployable solutions from BW, knowledge of an ETL tool and experience with SAP XI, SAP BW 7.0, MBA

    Other desired skills:
