Description
  • Leadership of major SAP BW and BI initiatives.
  • Management of appropriate items in the SAP BW portfolio.
  • Ensuring design integrity and, where possible, global solutions.
  • Make assignments to team and tracking progress.
  • Conducting applicable HR processes.
    Key Accountabilities
  • Drive strategic initiatives, programs or projects.
  • Identify, research and validate innovative solutions applying the concepts of appropriate methodologies.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues/barriers that impede progress.
  • Meet or exceed business requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency & business value.
  • Ensure and/or develop appropriate methodologies, policies and procedures to deliver business solutions.
  • Lead, influence and negotiate to achieve business strategies & deliver results for internal/external partner(s).
  • Manage the SAP BW team, including the outsourced support resources.
  • Apply superior knowledge of industry and competitive environment in all facets of daily job functions.
  • Partner with global and regional business leadership and other IM management to identify business needs, determine value, and prioritize.
  • Conduct applicable HR processes (performance feedback and reviews, succession planning, compensation planning and administration).
  • Participate in the budgeting process and/or manage project budgets

    Experience/Skills
  • Bachelors or MBA and minimum 8 to 10 years' IT experience years experience exhibiting a progression of responsibility and leadership (at least four years in a management role required).
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience using SAP BW 3.0 or higher and SAP R3
  • Involved in at least 2 full life cycle BW implementations
  • Knowledge of SAP BW 7.0 a plus
  • Knowldege of Crystal reporting a plus
  • Exp. with SAP BW BEx Query Development required
  • Strong Knowledge in SAP BW tool set including creating Infocubes, ODS, Multi Providers, Infosources, Data Sources, Update Rules and Transfer Rules.
  • Knowledge in SAP business processes for developing BW extractors.
  • Strong development skill required in ABAP programming.
  • Experience with Web Application Designer for developing Web deployable solutions from BW.
  • Manage external consulting staff as well as deliverables and own staff
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading large multi-disciplined projects and teams.
