Description
  • Point of contact with outsource Basis contractor for tasks, issues and prioritization.
  • Point of contact for Global SAP user community regarding issues such as transports, job scheduling, performance, etc.
  • Maintains multi-landscape environments through remote copies, system refreshes, transport management.
  • Ownership and maintenance of interfaces-Vertex, BSI, Timelink, QTMS, GoldClient, DoAll, TopCall.
  • Planning-system version upgrades, support stacks, small projects (languages, GUI rollouts, load testing).
  • Assesses impact of new SAP releases to current system landscape environments, design solution and assist production support teams in deploying the solution.
  • Participates in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Investigates and participates in new technologies and solution from SAP and associated software vendors.
  • Basic SAP environment troubleshooting (R/3, APO, CRM, BW).
  • Basis related project management.


    Experience/Skills
  • Environment: SAP R/3 4.6C, CRM 4.0, APO 3.0, SRM 4.0, BW 3.5, AS400/OS400 and Intel servers.
  • At least 3-4 years as a Basis Administrator including the duties listed above.
  • Experience supporting operating systems and database systems.
  • Excellent communication and team skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • High degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity.
  • Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
