Description
We are currently seeking to fill an SAP Basis Administrator position for our client in Deerfield, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Responsibilities:
- Support SAP systems landscape design and implementation to support enterprise-wide integration while aligning with and addressing integration to current and future technology architecture, standards and vision of world-class production support and high-availability computing infrastructure.
- Manage SAP solution upgrade projects, application and testing of service packages, disaster recovery planning and testing, security design and administration, and service interruption corrective actions.
- Participate within the Information Technology organization to establish standards for SAP infrastucture, operating system, data base administration and Basis practices.
- Analyze customers' technical requirements and systems infrastructure (e.g., system architecture & landscape design) and provide support in the areas of database administration, SAP product installations, upgrades, SAP administration (e.g., Correction Transport Management, back-up/recovery procedures) change management, performance tuning and overall technical consulting assistance.
- Assume primary responsibility for solving customers' technical issues by providing technical expertise, project planning, guidance and instruction on SAP solutions and business processes.
- Maintain high degree of knowledge/ understanding of SAP technologies, business processes and solutions, keeping current with release levels and industry issues; prepare training materials and instruct technical classes as needed; and coaches/mentors TCs
- Support and define systems strategy, develop system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementation.
- Perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day to day client relationsp at peer client levels.

Qualifications:
- Requires 8+ years professional experience, minimum of 5 years of consulting or systems implementation management experience with 2+ years of SAP product implementation experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
- SAP Basis Certification
- 3 to 5 years SAP Management Consulting
- 6 to 8 years SAP Basis Management
- 6 to 8 years SArchitecture & Infrastructure
- 3 to 5 years SIT Strategy & Management
- Expertise using SAP Solution Manager delivery methodology and supporting tools; specifically the system monitoring
- Java knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of MDM product and infrastructure integration with SAP Netweaver and Legacy systems a large plus.
- Knowledge of firewalls and port configuration.
- Understanding the SAP Netweaver Stack, its integration to R/3 and legacy systems.
- Understanding of SAP XI install, setup and usage as middleware tool for SAP and legacy.
- Unix-AIX: Plans and design system architecture for optimal support of internal and external customers.
- Understanding and experience with SAP Solution Manager Installation and Ops support.
- 2+ years SAP EP (Enterprise Portals); administer setup and maintenance of portal environment. Manage single sign on and performance/tuning.
- Knowledge of Oracle
- Candidate must be conversant with project management as it relates to software development and have the ability to mentor others in the software development lifecycle.
- Candidate must be a self-starter capable of leading when necessary and guiding others through a process and issue resolution.
- Candidate must be well organized and capable of juggling numerous priorities.
