SAP Basis Team Lead

Description

The SAP Basis Team Lead will be responsible for the daily operation and support tasks for critical 24x7 SAP R/3, B/W, APO, and CRM systems.

Principal Accountabilities:

*Key resource for upgrade projects, application testing and service interruption corrective actions

*Define and implement work procedures, standards and methods

*assist infrastructure management team in the creation and maintenance of service level agreements that are developed in conjunction with the clients and other Information Systems functional leaders

*Monitor SAP performance against such agreements and recommend improvement plans where appropriate

*Organize and manage multiple priority projects

*Adhere to SAP standards, best practices and methodologies

*Represent Basis in change management, incident management and problem management processes


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

*5 years experience with SAP Basis Administration and design

*3 years experience supervising Basis resources

*Knowledge of R/3 solution, R/3 business processes, R/3 product architecture, ASAP methodologies, Internet, e-Business and SAP Solution Manager

*Strong Unix administration, experience with AIX and working knowledge of related and dependent technologies such as networking and backup solutions

*Experience in multiple SAP implementation and upgrades including: SAP R/3, BW, SEM, CRM, and APO

*Knowledge of SAP client management strategies and the SAP transport system

*Solid project management experience

*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or a combination of applicable experience and education
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


Individual should have experience in European and U.S. business systems requirements as it relates to their specific area of SAP specialization.
