Description
Assignment The position will be part of the Purchasing and Plant Maintenance Systems department which will establish configuration, business analysis and functional requirements standards. Candidate will perform business analysis and aid development and support efforts in successfully implementing SAP for A-B business units. Individual must facilitate technology knowledge transfer from Vendor to A-B. Primary Responsibilities 1) The candidate will participate in the Purchasing & Plant Maintenance Systems development and support efforts for continued rollout of A-B's Standard Procurement Process and improved supplier relationships. 2) Support activities are expected to average about 30-50% of the time. While initial support requests are handled by a Level 2 Help Desk - issues that cannot be resolved at that level will be turned over to Level 3 (configurator) for resolution. 3) The development efforts require the candidate to work with customers (Senior Directors through requisitoners/buyers) to gather requirements for several planned and unplanned development efforts. 4) Candidate would be responsible for SAP configuration and interaction with technical teams (BASIS, ABAP resource pool, support desk) to ensure successful implementation and on going support. Knowledge of ABAP Query is a plus. 5) Knowledge of other SAP modules (PM, IM and WM) a plus.

Requirements:

Required General Skills 1) Support existing SAP production and development. Must be able to analyze client organization requirements in Materials Management (MM) and EBPro (SAP's online requisitioning tool), form a process oriented solution, implement the solution. 2) Evaluate cross-project, cross-module implications and interrelationships of new configuration across SAP modules. 3) Keep configurations in synch across all production and development environments and document configuration decisions so that knowledge is retained. 4) Ability to take initiative - work with minimal daily direction, ability to dig in and understand detailed business processes, system requirements, and technology requirements to develop working business solutions, ability to prioritize. 5) Ability to assist in the development of training materials for MM. Required Technical Skills 1) SAP Configuration Analyst - Intermediate with 5 year(s) experience. SAP MM Module 2) Analyst-Process - Intermediate with 4 year(s) experience. Preferred Technical Skills 1) SAP Configuration Analyst - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience. Other SAP modules (PM, IM and WM) a plus.
