Description
We are currently looking for an SAP Controls Consultant for one of our Fortune 500 companies here in the Dallas area. This position will monitor the status and progress of controls during the development of the SAP functionality in accordance with the leading practices.
You will evaluate SAP financial reporting controls to ensure company is addressing the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act. And make recommendations to help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all process controls, add value to the company.




Essential Position Functions:

*


Identify and assess risks, controls, and business issues; collect, review, analyze and verify ERP evidence; document procedures; and design tests for controls.

*


Prepare process flowcharts and other documents, as necessary.



*


Provide technical skills and assistance to process team members.
Work under general supervision - individually, or within a team based environment.


*


Develop and maintain productive process team relationships.



Qualifications that a candidate must possess:


*


Bachelors degree in accounting, information systems, economics, manufacturing, or related fields.


*


Approximately 2 years of high-quality experience is expected.


*


Understands generally accepted accounting and auditing principles, financial reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.


*


Ability to travel by airplane and/or car.

*


E
ffectively communicate issues and recommendations, establish and maintain effective working relationships with process teams and effective conflict resolution skills.

*


Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.



Qualifications that are desired of a candidate:


*


Work with a SAP manufacturing and distribution organization is very desirable.

*


Public Accounting experience is a plus.

Professional Certification is a very strong plus (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, etc.).

*


Knowledge of SAP VIRSA Compliance Calibrator is very desirable.

*


Use of ACL software (Computer Aided Audit Tools) to interrogate systems and analyze data would be a plus.


*


Language skills, especially Polish, would be desirable.
