John Deere Power Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to design, implement and support the JDPS SAP computing platform in coordination with other Divisional and Corporate IT teams. In this position, you will:



Be responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving system processing problems.
Identify and mitigate urgent/high priority issues that affect the landscape and/or are important to maintaining business functions.
Be responsible for researching and implementing strategic projects. This may include; new SAP functionality and add-on components, implementations in current units or new acquisitions, SAP data archiving, cost reduction projects, upgrade and continuous improvement planning, security & compliance, etc.
Review production system metrics daily for anomalies in peak requirements, load leveling, and system performance.
Evaluate overall landscape performance, MIPS usage and IPN charges; investigate and initiate corrective action on excessive charges included in rotation of after-hours and weekend (24/7) support for urgent issues, scheduled maintenance, transports, etc.
Assist in creating and maintaining job schedules and troubleshooting job run errors.
Be responsible for printer definition, testing and working with unit infrastructure on changes and troubleshooting issues.
Monitor system status, logs, locks, errors, dumps or alerts within all functions of the SAP system.
Be responsible for continuous improvement of JDPS SAP policies and procedures.
Ensure that the landscape is compliant with all applicable Deere policies and legal requirements.




Education



Four year degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.




Required Skills and Experience



Experience using SAP applications.
Systems Administration experience.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.


Desired Skills and Experience



Skill in implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of infrastructure components.
Willingness to learn new technology processes and methodology.
Strong analysis, organizational and problem solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
