SAP Materials Management AnalystLocation: The Houston, TXDescriptionChevron Phillips is seeking a SAP Materials Management Analyst at its Headquarters location in The Woodlands, Texas. This position participates in new application delivery teams through projects, including evaluation of buy vs. build alternatives and application implementation. Plays a role in preparation and maintenance of training materials for assigned modules and in the training of users, other IT team members, etc. Is responsible for the configuration and support of the SAP MM functionality implemented at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. Serves as primary contact on all system issues and future functionality needs related to assigned modules. Works directly with SAP or with internal CPC IT programming staff on functionality design and development issues. Provides CPC wide support, consultation, and positive interaction with users of assigned systems to further understanding on the broad and effective use of the systems. Also, participates in answering and resolving issues gathered via the customer support help line. Successful candidate must maintain a good understanding of the business processes supported by the assigned modules. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining close alignment with business users of the applications to plan for changes to the software and to ensure it continues to support the business processes into the future. Participate as an active member of the CPC IT team and planning and managing the installation of new and interim releases of SAP and other software. Maintain ownership of the procedures for interfaces between assigned modules and other applications. All job seekers must go to the web site to be considered for positions.Qualifications * Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required. * Must have five plus years of functional Configuration SAP Plant Maintenance and/or Materials Management experience. * Must possess significant experience in Plant Maintenance, MRO-Storehouse, and/or Procurement processes in the Petro-Chemical industry. * Demonstrated skills and experience in all phases of systems implementation, including analysis/design, blueprinting, configuration, documentation, testing, training, and support. * Posses working knowledge of systems integration, data manipulation, data analysis, SAP data migration methods, and of Microsoft ACCESS. * Ability and willingness to investigate in detail, diagnose, and solve complex problems quickly. * Must be able to cooperate and volunteer time and resources as needed for the team to reach its goal. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential. * Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and issues in a concise manner (oral/written) to many different audiences. * Ability to clearly communicate with customers, peers and upper management.df-tc
