POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will responsible for development, implementation, and sustainment of new releases of functionality for the e-Business Information Solutions group (Project Systems). This person will focus on (but not limited to) Government Systems PP&C solutions. The analyst will act as an internal consultant working with the business units to fully understand gaps and issues, develop or evolve requirements, and work with the SAP development team to create specifications and thoroughly test and implement solutions. The candidate must possess extensive process knowledge and experience within Government Systems PP&C, and a practical working knowledge of supporting systems (particularly SAP Project Systems and wInsight).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop and/or evolve requirements for solutions focused on Government Systems PP&C, by Spending significant time with the customer to understand issues, and working to fully capture business problem assessment and detailed requirements
The ability to relay customer requirements to the SAP development team by providing process guidance and system specifications to create and thoroughly test the solutions
Continuously developing and maintaining strong business acumen within the GS PP&C environment
Balancing business knowledge with demonstrated strong system capabilities within SAP Project Systems and supporting GS tools such as wInsight, as well as how solutions can be designed within those systems
Develop and support new functionality for the Financial community through proof of concept work, by
Working with the PS development team to quickly proto-type solutions Understanding how the new solutions will work within the GS process to quickly assess value
Preparing training and providing change leadership as necessary for new functionality
Continually working with the customer to understand the solutions effectiveness, and/or how to improve on functionality
Working as an advocate within GS for new solutions developed by e-Business

Ensure consistent business process and Enterprise Solution development, by Fully understanding the business process for planning and managing a project via SAP Project Systems
Assessing current GS (as well as other) business needs within the framework of the wider enterprise goals Demonstrating the ability to provide guidance with customer requests and negotiate if necessary to maintain the enterprise vision
Limiting the number of point solutions delivered, and seeking opportunities to make individual systems and tools into enterprise wide solutions

Seek opportunities to streamline and expand reporting solutions by, Understanding the needs of our key customers; how they run their business, and the information they need to make decisions Utilizing Project Systems information and the ability to leverage additional tools to provide common, consistent, and timely information delivery to our customers
Continually improving ways of delivering information based on feedback from our customers. The ability to not only deliver reporting solutions, but going back to the customer to understand how functionality is being utilized, and making necessary changes
Ensure systems stability and efficiency, by Providing necessary support when functionality is not working as implemented
Providing usage analysis on new functionality to gain an understanding of what is working and what is not
Communicating with SAP as necessary and utilizing OSS notes to look for proper system fixes, etc.


DIMENSIONS/SCOPE OF POSITION:

.Support multiple development projects primarily within GS, but also across entire enterprise
.System support of deployed solutions across the enterprise
.Work with Project Systems User Group members and the employees they represent across the entire enterprise

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

.Must possess a strong working knowledge of SAP Project Systems
.Must have extensive experience of Government Systems PP&C processes
.Must have demonstrated knowledge of the wInsite tool and the processes this tool supports (EVMS reporting in a government environment)
