Description
Reporting to the HRIS Steady State Senior Production Operations Manager, the SAP US Payroll Business Analyst is involved in all aspects of design and implementation of tools to support the major business functions of our clients. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, creating designs, configuring applications and managing daily tasks to support the system. The SAP US Payroll Business Analyst is accountable for the implementation of projects with oversight of design and configuration activities in partnership with development.

Application Design and Delivery
Accountable for application support, design, testing and delivery
Develop business cases in partnership with client team
Partner with business subject matter experts and document requirements
Translate business requirements into technology solutions. Includes fit-gap analysis & application of best practices to create reusable, configurable, & high performing application designs
Design the configuration of applications
Develop test scripts
Execute test cycles
Facilitate user acceptance testing
Ensure SAP HCMS and 3rd party cross-impacted areas are identified and engaged
Ensure meeting support SLA’s.
Must be able to create effective tech design documents to clearly communicate designs to off shore development teams

Client Relationship Management
Assist with maintaining client relationships
Understands client needs & manages expectations

Staff and Team Interactions
Experience working with off-shore resources
Experience working in large support teams that work on multiple clients
A strong understanding of support management processes, project life cycle methodologies and business analyst responsibilities is required. 5+ years of experience in the area of Application configuration and design
Ability to translate and communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with tight
Experience with multiple payrolls (US, Canada, Mexico) a plus.
Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others
Consulting experience desired

Consults with Functional Team Members
In defining the business requirements, determining scope, & identifying tech alternatives & limitations for system enhancements & change requests
Acting as a tech SME to application & architecture functionality & code
Providing estimates for work effort duration for change requests & new dev efforts
Knowledge sharing with ongoing operational teams in the effective use of the apps

Requirements
Work experience in SAP HCM 4.x or above
Strong understanding of the SAP HCM applications, including proven experience in the following disciplines:
SAP US Payroll
Schema development and maintenance
PCR development and maintenance
Working knowledge on Year End processes in SAP US Payroll
Working knowledge of US Tax code
Working knowledge of 401(k)
Background in maintaining and upgrading BSI
Understanding of SAP Benefits integration into Payroll
SAP Payroll posting and SAP Fi-Co posting set up and trouble shooting
Working knowledge of SAP PA and OM
Knowledge of Compensation management is desirable
Knowledge of ABAP HR is desirable
At least 3 full lifecycle SAP US Payroll implementation or over 5 years of SAP Payroll Support
Working knowledge of development tools and implementation strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
