Description
This position requires technical expertise in SAP QM and experience in the PP-PI, MM SAP modules. A candidate must be able to apply knowledge across a significant business area in the Supply Chain. Will be responsible for analysis, specifications, configurations, testing, documenting and implementing SAP solutions to meet business requirements, applying standard SAP functionality wherever possible. All work should follow the IS standards. In addition the role may also include responsibilities of IS coordinator; working closely with business experts to define business needs and priorities, and leading small projects/teams.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
-Estimate and plan own work, providing regular, accurate updates to the project manager.
-Work closely with all IS colleagues for problem analysis, global solutions, knowledge transfer.
-Provide leadership in quality & productivity.
-Meet with key users and business coordinators to understand problems/requirements assigned and ensure they meet global requirements.
-Help build effective process maps, highlighting areas for improvement.
-Demonstrate good understanding of an overall SAP process and in-depth understanding of a related business area.
-Evaluate all options based on cost/benefit analyses
-Build/update a blueprint of requirements for all systems changes.
-Apply a 'global' approach (common systems) to all designs.
-Work closely with IS colleagues to ensure that cross module impacts are addressed.
-Consider alternative options for problems presented by the business, quantifying the benefits and disadvantages to enable the business to make informed decisions.
-Ensure that ABAP solutions are only requested when a configuration solution is not possible.
-Conduct walk-throughs with key users & IS colleagues to reduce risk, check standards, global aspects & integration considerations.
-Complete configuration, testing, documentation to meet standards
-Degree level education preferable
-Appropriate SAP training.
-Extensive experience of SAP (6+ years)
