SAP Quality Management (QM) Senior Functional Analyst

Job Description

This position is located in Memphis, TN.

As the Senior Functional Analyst, you are the primary liaison between business process requirements/opportunities and underlying systems capabilities. In this position, you will focus on the activities of the quality management area. You are responsible for optimizing business processes with effective, simple approaches that are consistent with SAP Best Practices. You will design, develop, maintain, and support the SAP design and configuration within the SAP R/3 Quality Management (QM) module by resolving defects, solving end user problems, answering module related questions and testing/validating functionality. In this role, you are responsible for optimizing process improvement projects from technical and business perspectives. As the Senior Functional Analyst, you will lead small projects using cross team resources as assigned.

Required Skills

*College Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

*7 years of experience defining and implementing business process improvements in the quality management area, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

*4+ years of SAP configuration and user support experience in QM. One to Two full project life cycle implementations and go-lives required. Additional live implementation and/or version upgrade experiences are a plus.

*Experience using ASAP and/or Solution Manager as a project tool.

*Functional SAP knowledge of integration of QM with other related modules and processes: MM, PP, and SD.

*Experience with QM functions: quality notifications for CAPA and Complaint Management, audit module, inspection processing for supplier quality tracking, inspection processing inspection plans, and gage calibration.

*Understanding of quality and regulatory processes.

*Experience implementing and managing QM in a global environment experience in an FDA regulated environment is strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

*Analyze and document business processes and requirements.
*Develop functional SAP system design from customer requirements or own work.
*Conducts workshops and presentations with users and management to facilitate solution development and continuous improvement in the implemented design.
*Identifies costs, benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system designs and their impact on the integration with other systems and SAP modules
*Perform simple and complex SAP configuration to satisfy solution designs that meet customer requirements
*Work with programmers in identifying and designing the use of user exits and other programs as required

*Develop change management documentation in accordance with defined eIS SAP change management processes and ensure transports are moved between systems *Executes system unit testing, integration testing and regression testing (builds test cases, performs tests, makes changes to configuration or processes based on results and resolves errors).
*Support Quality Assurance requirements.
*Develop and conduct user training on new functionality implemented.
*Provide on-going second level support and issue resolution through the power user model using debugging and analytical problem solving to resolve the issue.
*Take a leadership role to identify process improvement opportunities, provide recommendations and implement solutions.
*Define and implement project plans, lead/coordinate small project teams as assigned
*Provides support to rollout/implementation teams.
*Conduct formal and informal presentations to customers, peers, and management.
*Assist service providers and others to implement changes and resolve issues in processes / systems.
*Use OSS to interface with SAP's support mechanism as required.
