Description
This individual will work closely with the end user community and help them determine how SAP roles are assigned and/or created in order to address their security needs. The main challenge for a SAP Security Consultant is to ensure that SAP authorizations are configured to meet business needs/processes and aligned with our Global IT Security Policy. Incumbents must be able to communicate SAP authorization capabilities and possibilities to end users, while seeking ways to collaborate with other members of the IT Shared Services.

Responsibilities
Responsible for end user support for many SAP systems being used in North America and ensuring SLAs are being met.
Responsible for communication, coordination, and teamwork within the team and our end users.
Responsible for participating in the IT development, maintenance and enhancements to SAP Security for SAP systems and functional areas.
Responsible for creating and presenting training material and documentation as required.
Responsible for resolving IT and business issues as they arise with dignity and respect.
Responsible for collaborating with company end users, IT, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, recommend solutions, and make SAP role assignments.
Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that may inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

Skills and Knowledge
Solid understanding of SAPs Security / Authorizations architecture.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams, work well with team members from different cultural backgrounds / countries, and foster team commitment to tasks.
Must possess direct experience with an SAP R/3
Experience with SAP SCM/APO and SAP BW preferred

Experience
4-year college degree (Bachelors) in Information Systems preferred but may substitute other technical certification in a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP Security / Authorizations.
