Description
A Sr. SAP Security Consultant will be responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the functional areas of the SAP software package. Incumbents collaborate with company customers, staff, IT and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. This individual will work closely with the assigned user community in determining how the chosen technology will address their needs, and then oversees the translation of these needs into system requirements and design specifications. The main challenge for a Sr. SAP Security Consultant is to ensure that SAP functions are configured to meet business needs and processes, and to apply a broad knowledge of various functions to anticipate organizational impacts. Incumbents must be able to communicate SAP capabilities and possibilities to designated functional areas, while seeking ways to collaborate with other members of the IT Shared Services.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily activities of the SAP Security team in North, including support using our tools. Eg. Remedy, Lotus Notes, etc
Responsible for the communication, coordination, and teamwork between Europe and North American IT teams.
Responsible for participating in the IT development, maintenance and enhancements to SAP Security for assigned SAP systems and functional areas. Consultant will be assigned to the cross application support team in North America.
Responsible for creating and presenting training material and documentation as required.
Responsible for resolving IT and business issues as they arise with dignity and respect.
Collaborate with company customers, staff, IT and other stakeholders to determine user requirements, assess available technologies and recommend solution options.
Customize SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.
Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that may inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

Skills and Knowledge
Comprehensive understanding of SAPs Security / Authorizations architecture.
Solid understanding of SAP data model in one or more functional areas
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams, work well with team members from different cultural backgrounds / countries, and foster team commitment to tasks;
Familiarity with SAP architecture
Must possess direct experience with an SAP ECC 6.0 upgrade and/or SCM 2007 upgrade.

Experience
4-year college degree (Bachelors) in Information Systems preferred but may substitute other technical certification in a related field.
Minimum five years of experience with SAP Security / Authorizations.
Knowledge of project management techniques preferred.
