Summary
As an SAP Security Engineer, you will design and develop SAP security solutions to meet business process requirements and act as a SAP Security subject matter expert in role design during all project phases. You will also provide project team support and development, cross-functional integration, and consultation advice to facilitate proper use of SAP Security for all applications.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio of ERP components and develop a roadmap to evolve integration with SAP Lifecycle Data Management and SAP Portal Federation

  • Design and support governance activities to ensure compliance with application and enterprise architectures

  • Lead technical and engineering teams in developing and maintaining architecture and standards for application development, delivery, and deployment

  • Develop and lead the implementation of application standards that have an operational and financial impact on us

  • Provide consultation advice and direction regarding SAP product architectures and standards to application developers, operations people, and project managers


You must possess the following qualities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and appropriately respond to business needs as well as facilitate discussion and drive consensus towards a shared, common architectural vision and objective

  • Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, vendors, and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in

  • Ability to lead and direct cross-functional technical and development teams to address and solve business issues and problems

  • Ability to mentor systems engineers, software engineers, and solution architects of large infrastructure development, custom application development, and package-based development projects regarding fit to architecture

Experience/Skills
Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related degree

  • 9+ years of experience with SAP Applications, SAP Application Security, components, and architecture

  • Demonstrated experience in SAP Security Authorizations, Role Configuration, Role-Based Security, Position-Based Security, SAP Application Link Enabling, SAP BEx Application Suite, SoD design options and monitoring tools, and Portal Federation architecture

  • Demonstrated experience of SAP Architecture, Authentication, and Provisioning of SAP Systems such as ECC, BI, Portal, PI(XI), SRM, and CRM

  • Familiarity with different components and modules within SAP such as FI/CO, HCM, DM/RM, PM, SEM, SD, MM, PP, IP, and BCS

  • Demonstrated experience in using SAP delivered tools such as SECATT and LSMW

  • Demonstrated experience in a large enterprise environment using different computing platforms

  • Demonstrated experience in transforming business and informational flows into architectural layers and components with emphasis in modeling applications, business transactions, and information flows in both static and dynamic models

  • Experience with application, process integration, orchestration, and technology integration models, specifically configurations, standards, and products related to n-tier, services and component-based software development concepts

  • Experience with managing multiple projects


Major Pluses to have

  • Knowledge of SAP ABAP and SAP Netweaver Platform components

  • Knowledge of IBM Tivoli Identity Management products and tools, EAI tools, SOA, and SDLC

  • CISSP certification
