SAP Technical Security Specialist

Position Start Date: Jan-03-2004
Position End Date: May-31-2005
Location: Bellevue


Primary Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in setup, configuration and maintenance of
SAP's authorizations in SAP Core R/3 and CRM/ISA Minimum 3 years
experience with Central User Administration and /or Global User Manager
(could include experience with Internet Sales and Internet-managed users
for SAP's procurement system and SAP Portal).
Minimum 5 years experience using R/3 WorkStream in Role and User Master
Development Minimum 3 years experience with firewall technologies,
including SAProuter and other products from companies such as
Checkpoint, Axent, Cisco Systems and Nortel.
Solid experience with the OS system upon which the SAP landscape is
built, from a security perspective, including Internet-access
ramifications, directory security, and familiarity with virus protection
products.
Familiarity with the database management system of SAP, from a security
and access perspective.
Firm understanding of system internal controls and segregation of duties
principals Outstanding and Proven analytical skills Outstanding and
Proven follow-up and follow-through Detail orientated Ability to accept,
facilitate, recommend and lead change Demonstrate ability to multitask
Previous experience in the telecommunications and/or wireless
industries.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self- directed environment
required.

Job Description: For the Direct Channel Migration project:
Protect the SAP network and hardware infrastructure against internal and
external threats Work within COS (IT) organization to assist in
efficiently managing the SAP-relevant subnets in terms of IP address
infrastructure.
Plan and implement an open security solution that enables integration
not only with SAP but also with bolt-ons and other extensions of the SAP
enterprise.
Developing and maintaining SAP user-based roles, authorizations and
associated access-related matters.
Working with vendors, suppliers, and other business partners to provide
selective SAP access to them.
Adhering to Target Resolution Times to provide a secure network
characterized by high performance, reliability and availability.
Defining, monitoring, and enforcing SAP-level security policies and
authorizations, both across the entire SAP system landscape and up the
