Basic Function:

Participate as a key member of the Technology Support Team for the mySAP ERP implementation project. The SAP Web / Portals Architect provides architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced websites as per the Project SAP business vision and scope established.

The SAP Web / Portals Architect works under the direction of the ERP Technology Project Manager with SAP and the Company's System Integrator chosen to guide definition of the technology environment, the bringing-to-life and deployment of SAP Portal technology and Self-Service features, as well as eCommerce capabilities inherent in the software licensed.

As a member of the SAP Technology Support Team, the SAP Web / Portals Architect would be accountable for planning and application design and coordination as a liaison with the Company's Information Technology External Focus and Business Process in the areas of:


  • Back-End SAP CRM B2B and B2C Applications

  • SAP NetWeaver Stack, Front-end

  • SAP Integration with Custom Web-Applications

  • Variety of HTML Websites and Web Applications
Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Work closely with the Master Data Manager and the External Focus team to ensure that all data definitions, mappings and changes are properly coordinated with eBusiness applications. Mobilizes the integration of Companies web sites moving forward in the SAP environment.


  2. Responsible for overall architecture, foundation and landscape design of SAP websites, interfaces and portals. Develops a road map of all eBusiness applications and determines any implications in the SAP environment.


  3. Responsible for working with the External Focus team to develop short and long term plans for each existing website.

  4. Identify current business application data elements used by the existing websites and assist in mapping those data elements to SAP insuring that the data will still be available to the sites.


  5. Create technical design specifications for web projects. Convey the technical design to team members and insure that design is implemented to successful project completion.

  6. Coordinate the design, planning, and regression testing of all website integration with SAP

Experience/Skills
Basic Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or 10 years of application development, including eBusiness applications. Experience in SAP CRM middleware and integration with ERP, SAP Portal Applications.


CRM ecommerce solution B2B+B2C and sales order management and past R3 SD experience

  1. CRM actions, document management, product catalog management and user management engine


  2. Strong business knowledge of enterprise systems and processes with a technology focus.


  3. Excellent skills in oral and written communications, team building, analysis, and strategic planning.


  4. Experienced in delivering business system services and maintaining legacy business applications.


  5. Requires extensive knowledge of Companies current business applications.

  6. The ability to know how to deal with ambiguity.


  7. Flexibility for travel to Companies businesses, as needed, based on project schedule requirements


  8. Overview and understanding of SAP CRM ecommerce Java struts framework and TREX .(Optional)


  9. Overview of Netweaver, portals and SSO concepts (optional).
