SAS Developer

Great long term contract position available in the St. Louis area for a SAS Developer!

Our client is searching for a talented team member that can utilize their background in SAS development in creating informatics reports (clinical, utilization, and financial information). This resource is also responsible for developing prototype processes, algorithms, and business decisions systems.

By working with team members from different business units and other developers on the SAS development team, this resource will take ownership of the new development of informatics applications. This includes gathering requirements, analysis design, statistical testing, and results interpretation for these applications.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of SAS (BASE, MACRO, and STAT) programming experience.
• Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
• Understanding of health care medical and pharmacy claims data manipulation and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret results of query analyses.
• Experience with other programming languages such as .NET, Java, or C++
• Experience problem solving across multiple languages
• Experience working in a Unix environment
• Experience working with Oracle, SQL, or DB2.
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Object-oriented programming
