This position will provide corporate support for SAS application and Business Intelligence servers by maintaining the application environment and supporting the users. We are looking for an experienced professional with SAS administration skills for a SAS 9x (Base and Enterprise Business Intelligence) environment. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence. This position will also participate in production software deployments, upgrades, capacity planning, backup strategies, as well as software/hardware integration planning. Will coordinate troubleshooting and make recommendations for configuration of the environment and operational use. Will consult with colleagues and clients on the SAS EBI environment and help them develop a deeper understanding of the tools. This position will work with a diverse team and a multitude of technical and analytical professionals. This position also offers the opportunity to work with IT and non-IT business groups to ensure that the SAS EBI Environment is running at optimal efficiency though monitoring of usage, code review, and best practice solutions. Strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory.

Some key Responsibilities include:
- Establish best practices for managing the SAS EBI environment
- Maintain awareness of new SAS releases, patches and upgrades.
- Assist with maintenance of the SAS EBI machines such as scheduling server backups, hot fixes, and others on an as-needed basis.
- Monitor the SAS server for resource utilization and act on incidents.
- Monitor storage growth and work with user areas to develop purge criteria.
- Provide guidance and assistance to SAS developers on operational and technical issues.
- Lead the Humana SAS EBI Users Group

The successful candidate:
Must have experience with SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Suite 9x - Includes - Enterprise Guide, Information Delivery Portal, Information Map Studio, Web Report Studio, Creating OLAP Cubes and stored processes. -Platform administration with SAS Management Console and administration of SAS client applications -Detailed understanding of the use and administration of most SAS tools. -Knowledge of SAS architecture and operational workings. -Planning, executing, and monitoring the SAS BI platform security and data archival solutions -Ability to research and recommend EBI Solutions to support requirements. -Creating usage profiles and models to help drive SAS architecture. -Packaging, deploying, and configuring SAS environments per recommend architecture. -SAS programming experience for data management, SAS Macro and PROC statements. -Knowledge of tools and techniques to troubleshoot and debug SAS issues on a UNIX platform.df-tc
