Description
Research Analysts work with data and statistical methods to create information products and to tailor analytical solutions for customers. They help customers improve their marketing efficiency and reduce customer market risk. Research Analysts also create additional enterprise benefits and usage opportunities for the customer's investment in information and services.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience.
Location: Prefer on campus unless highly skilled - would consider home base.

The Development Research Analyst is responsible for the development of modeled elements and data products for the InfoBase and Personicx brands. These include models that extend the coverage of current data elements, descriptive and predictive models marketed as stand alone data products, and models used to deliver clustering systems like Personicx.

In pursuit of this responsibility the Development Research Analyst will utilize statistical methods and the SAS programming language to identify key data elements within InfoBase data products for a given purpose, develop and test algorithms in SAS that combine those elements in effective models, provide actionable insights into further development and into the sales of these products, and provide support for the initial release and ongoing maintenance of these products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

? Analyze InfoBase data and develop models based on the results
? Acquire relevant data and knowledge to support research efforts
? Communicate project progress to colleagues and management
? Work within teams to integrate findings and models into company operations

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
? BS, MBA or Masters degree in Math, Statistics or related field preferred
? For advanced degree holders, 2 plus years experience in business environment working with statistical demographic applications or projects
? For BS degree holders, 5 plus years experience in business environment working with statistical demographic applications or projects
? Knowledge of demographic and household level consumer data.
? Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to design analysis plans using multiple internal and external data sources
? Ability to inquisitively and thoroughly evaluate a research problem
? Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively in writing, oral presentations, and through maps and graphics
? Ability to learn quickly and to apply new tools and techniques
? Specific industry knowledge in Banking, Retail, Retail Banking, CPG, or Automotive industry experience a plus
? Experience and proficiency with the following software: on-line GIS applications, Access, Oracle, SAS; large database manipulation and interpretation preferred
? Experience with segmentation systems and techniques?
