POSITION OVERVIEW
Serves as a Full Time Electronics Technician, Maintenance II supporting the TSSC-III Program through the Technical Center Office in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Work will be performed primarily in New Jersey, with occasional work throughout the United States.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience and perform the following duties:

The Electronics Technician, Maintenance maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices.The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturer's manuals or similar documents.
Work requires familiarity with the interrelationship of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
The technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
Work typically requires installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment.
Work typically requires working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
Work typically requires locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
Work typically requires working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
Work typically requires using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
Installation and modification of E/G and UPS systems, including electrical power panels, installing conduit, cableways and pulling cables.
Installation of control cables (connection, pulling and dressing) in laboratory and control tower environment.
Installation of duct banks.
Installation and/or removal or relocation of AC power panels.
Rack installation for various FAA systems.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma, or equivalent, and 5+ years of related work experience, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 3 to 5 years of experience.Advanced training/education and specific experience in aviation or on airport sites preferred.
Must have at least 5 years experience in installing electrical and electronic equipment.
Experience in operating heavy equipment is desirable.
Installation experience with UPS and E/G systems also desirable.
Experience with MS Office, Internet and e-mail.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and climb stairs and towers up to 50 feet
Candidate must be capable of escorting subcontractor personnel on active airfields and secure facilities
Candidate must be willing to travel.
Position is based in Egg Harbor, NJ, no relocation assistance will be provided.
Travel up to 50% of the time and some overtime will be required.
The position requires a security background check by the FAA.df-tc
