Description
Software Design Engineer in Test Responsibilities: This individual will be a member of a multiple project teams and reporting to the Platform Test Manager. -Contributing to the planning and scheduling of each project -Work independently on projects of moderate complexity -Using existing tools to execute automated & manual tests and modifying them as necessary -Efficiently prioritize and manage an assigned set of tasks, often for an entire release -Testing client-server applications -Coordinate with Development on release and testing schedules -Learn new technologies as necessary Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in software testing covering standalone, client-server, and web based applications. -Strong familiarity with the Internet and it's protocols -Familiarity with at least two of the following: C, C++, C#, .Net, SQL -Test case creation and validation -Experience in UI and usability testing, both black box and white box -Self starter with a desire to learn new skills -Clear understanding of a Software Product Lifecycle -Strong Windows familiarity and troubleshooting skills -Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and work toward team goals -Demonstrated experience with HTML, XML, and/or JavaScript Desired Skills: - Independent organized and motivated to release quality products -Seeks out more efficient ways to complete tasks and improve processes -Strong documentation and communication skills -Creatively solves problems -Windows Vista familiarity a plus -Unix familiarity a plus -Experience with NSIS installers -Database, Client/Server Automationdf-tc
