Description
1.* Performs moderately complex product design and implementation activities which may require extensive research and analysis; performs design, implementation and maintenance of moderately complex multiple product modules/sub-systems; Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing and support for assigned products; researches problems discovered and develops solutions to the problems; conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.

2.Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues; suggests technical approaches to management on projects.

3.Provides technical leadership to the team by researching new technology or development tools; is current on activities within the department, company and industry.

4.Has greater interaction with clients; actively participates in presentations, technical demonstrations, etc.

5.Provides training/instruction and technical mentoring to junior associates.

6.Follows organization wide CMM based engineering and non-engineering processesdf-tc

Experience/Skills
1.BA in C S; Min. 5 yrs in software engineering. 2.Min.5yr exper.in Web Interfacedevelopment. 3.Tech.knowledge of industry standards, emphasis on Web Services and XML. 4.Exper.in HTML/DHTML, Java Script, XML/XSLt, JSP, Servlets, JSTL, J2EE, JUnit, Struts,(Spring a plus). 5.Exper. with one of the following application servers, Websphere (preferred), JBoss or Weblogic. 6.Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture; Practical experience desirable. 7.Strong understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance. 8.Recognized central point for technical issues across groups and products. 9.Proven communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. 10.Ability to work as a team leader, team member or individual contributor. 11.Any exper. with Eclipse, IBM's Rational Software Architect (RSA) or Rational Requisite Pro is a plus. 12.Any exper. with IBM's AIX and UDB is a plus
