Description
The primary duties of the Senior Electrical Engineer coordinates the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout the entire projects development. Establishes client relations, and is involved with the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems. Assumes the Electrical Lead on many projects. Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines. Is responsible to coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Is responsible to track the financial aspects of the projects, and coordinates and adjusts the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule. Works with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management on an as needed basis. May direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals,and act as a mentor to other staff members.

Requirements - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.

- P.E. required.

- 10+ years experience preferred in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/ systems).

- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.

- Experience in Healthcare and Civic Buildings (Justice, etention/Corrections).

- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and electrical design software.

- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired.

- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
