SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER, DEVICE INTEGRATION AND EXTENSIBILITY
REPORTS TO CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER & VP, PRODUCT DEFINITION

Serves as a corporate resource, providing technical direction and advice to management in product planning (short term and long term) and definition. Identifies technological trends, applications or markets which can significantly increase Wonderware's competitive position. Provides expert guidance customers, engineers, sales and support personnel.

Provides technical leadership for leading edge products and systems. Identifies and recommends new poducts and strategies based on internal needs and capabilities. Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas including Research, Development and Marketing to develop and provide definitions responsive to market opportunities. Conducts detailed market analyses on established and prospective customers and competitors relevant to market size, user needs, and available techology. Creates competitive counter-strategies and documents; disseminates, as required. Works closely with Development group during product definition, execution and post-release phases.

Provides technical leadership in defining solutions for customer application requirements. Makes presentations and/or demonstrations to sales personnel and customers that highlight features, benefits and application of the product. Is recognized within the company as well as outside as an authority in advanced applications of products and systems.

Monitors acceptance of established products; facilitates enhancement programs and participates in phase-out programs. Manages alpha and beta programs.

Develops and implements introduction sales plans for key products or services. Which requires a specialized understanding of unique and/or new applications. Provides internal consultation activities in reviewing application content of promotional material. Identifies need and defines the message for various promotions requiring advanced expertise. Works with Communications and Sales personnel to ensure timely and effective development, production and use of technical literature. Directs the review of pre-sales user documentation for new products to assure worldwide acceptance and conformity with Strategic Product Plan.

Requires 14+ years experience in sales, marketing, service, design and/or application of HMI, PLC, SCADA and OPC technology.
