CDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING PCDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION TO BE LOCATED AT OUR CLIENT SITE ON NORTH SLOPE OF ALASKA.

The Planning and Scheduling Engineer will be responsible for a comprehensive schedule control system, including day-to-day planning activities and the integration of contractor schedules into the overall project schedule.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Plans and Procedures
. Develop the project planning and scheduling controls strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both client and contractor roles and responsibilities.
. Adhere to the segment financial and business and project processes.
Estimates
. Provide the necessary schedules to ensure the development of proper estimates and studies within a project stage and for sanction.
. Coordinate and develop appropriate internal and external schedule benchmarks and technical limits.
Schedule
. Prepare and implement project-wide work breakdown structure (WBS)/cost breakdown structure (CBS), working with the Cost Engineer.
. Ensure the preparation and development of appropriate detail and summary project control schedules.
. Implement and monitor schedules within each project stage and for entire project until completion or close-out.
. Look ahead to ensure readiness to progress forward works.
. Ensure the preparation and develop the interface schedule.
. Coordinate preparation of schedule risk analysis.
Change Management
. Provide schedule input to and implement schedule element of the change management procedure.
Risk Management
. Provide schedule input to and implement the schedule element of risk management plan.
. Coordinate the development of risk mitigation plans as delegated.
. Link schedule element of risk process to change process and estimate.
Reporting
. Prepare and implement project-wide progress measurement and reporting system, including roll-up levels, section weightings and reporting cycle calendar.
. Develop and issue various reports to appropriate stakeholders.
. Prepare and present project information to appropriate stakeholders.
. Develop project closeout plan.
. Develop commercial interface.
Experience & Knowledge
To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications:
. Must have at least five years in plant or field environment - preferably with a planning and scheduling process.
. A strong computer skill with ability to navigate & learn various software databases to learn and utilize new skills is essential. Various computer skill will be utilized: Maximo, PassPort, Excel, Word, MSPE, Primavera and MS-Office.
. Strong interpersonal skills, skilled in dealing with people.

In addition to the required qualifications, the successful applicant is likely to be able to demonstrate the following:
. Must be able to handle the mathematical routines involved in estimates and ordering materials
. Ability to work closely within a multifunctional team recognizing and balancing area needs against functional requirements.
. Be able to read schematics, drawings and manuals
. Ability to read and comprehend job descriptions, safety manuals and safety and warning signs
. Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures
. Passport Supply Chain applications: Inventory, Purchasing, and Contracts Reporting and analysis tools including Bi-Cycle, Brio Query, and CMMS Enabling Tools.
Any Other Relevant Information
. Four year college degree preferred or proven experience equivalent.

Cost Engineer Opening:

Plans and Procedures
. Develop the Project Services and Controls strategy, plans and procedures for cost control, reflecting both BP and Contractor roles and responsibilities
. Adheres to the segment financial, business and project processes
Cost
. Ensure the development of the appropriate budgets, implement, and monitor costs within a project stage and for the entire project until closeout/completion.
. Ensure proper documentation is provided for each request for funding (AFE)
. Ensure backup is provided from vendors for monthly WIP reports and provide guidance to Project Leads for proper LE forecasting.
Estimates
. Ensure the development of estimates and studies within a project stage in coordination with both internal and external Cost Estimators.
. Coordinate preparation of Cost Risk Analysis

Risk Management
. Develop and implement Risk management procedures for project costs, and budgets
. Coordinate the development of Risk mitigation plans as they relate to cost engineering
. Link Risk, schedule and Change control processes to Cost Reports

Experience & Knowledge
. BSc or higher degree with a minimum of 8 years applicable experience, emphasis on Finance
. Previous work on client projects - Essential
. Familiarity with client specific Cost Engineering processes and procedures
. Minimum 10 years experience in Oil and Gas industry
. Major Projects planning and execution, experience with CVP (MPCP), brown-field projects experience, well and facilities operations experience
. High regard for HSSE principals
. Experience in a Research and Development project
. Knowledge of and experience relating to Heavy Oil surface facilities
. Able to communicate effectively with Project team members to ensure depletion, surface facilities and technology business objectives are met in a dynamic setting with evolving understanding of the resource
. Ability to work well with third parties, especially contractors and partners with various disciplines
. Experience with contract strategies and contract development
