Description

Design and develop Windows applications and communication drivers. Products being developed include configuration, diagnostic and maintenance applications for industrial communication networks and industrial control devices. In addition to product development, there are opportunities for participation in international standards development for several communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Technical leadership ? Supervise the design and execution of multiple software projects. Mentor less experienced engineers.
Adherence to formal development and quality process

Skills Required

Strong, contemporary Windows development skills ? C++, COM Interoperability, ATL, C#, .NET (Winforms, remoting, and events), XML
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in a real-time applications environment is very desirable
Experience with software tools including Requisite Pro, Clear Case, Continuous, and Visual Studio
Experience with object oriented design methodologies

Experience

Candidate must 3 - 5 years of application experience in Windows software development. A background in both user interface and interfacing components is important. Knowledge of communications concepts and standards is key to this position and background with industrial fieldbus technologies is desired. Background in industrial control and understanding of field instrumentation (transmitters, valve positioners, motor drives) is very desirable. Candidate should have a strong knowledge of contemporary best practices in software development.

Education

B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
