Based in Lake Forest, Calif., the Wonderware and ArchestrA business units have regional sales and technical support offices throughout North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia to provide support to its network of more than 160 distributor offices.

We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Software QA Engineer in our Lake Forest, CA headquarters office.

The primary duties of this position are developing and executing test plans and test cases for industrial and/or factory automation and Internet testing of MMI/HMI products.
Must have the ability to perform the following types of test: GUI, functional, regression, integration, performance, stress, customer acceptance (beta testing), system, multi-user and others as may be necessary.

This position will interact closely with development teams to identify, isolate and fix software defects; and work closely with project teams in developing test strategies and test plans.

Responsibilities include: participation in business requirement reviews and functional specification reviews, as well as test plan reviews and defect reviews; communicating test status to project teams and management including blocking issues, risks and changes that may affect the project deliverables and project schedules; managing and maintaining test environments and Network Lab; ensure all product releases meet or exceed defined quality goals, apply quality principles to evaluate and improve work processes and procedures; keeping abreast of developments in information technology, specifically software testing techniques, and other related systems development concerns; providing task estimates based on requirements, Use Cases and Detailed Functional Specifications.

Experience/Skills
Skills Requirements: Bachelorâ??s degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field plus 4-6 years experience in testing HMI (Human Machine Interface) products. Programming and/or QA experience using C++, Visual Basic, SQL Server, COM and DCOM for Microsoft Windows platforms is a plus. Working knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, MS SQL 7.0 or above, Visual C++ and/or Visual Basic. Internet based application testing, XML, Windows Security, Web Services, Microsoft Web Parts and Database connectivity (ADO). Experience with an automated testing tool; Segue (Silk Test) or Mercury tools preferred. Must know Software Development Life Cycle and the role of QA and Testing in the process. Good written and verbal communication skills.
