Wonderware has been an industrial software leader since 1987, when the company was introduced. Based in Lake Forest, Calif., the Wonderware and ArchestrA business units have regional sales and technical support offices throughout North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia to provide support to its network of more than 160 distributor offices.

We have an immediate requirement for a Sr Software QA Engineer in our Lake Forest, CA headquarters office.

Responsibilities: The Senior QA Engineer shall be responsible for extensive levels of quality assurance, test and evaluation of company software products on an assigned project. The Senior QA Engineer shall have a high level of both education and experience in a software test environment on varied hardware platforms and will concentrate primarily on the white box level aspects of the project. The Senior QA Engineer shall also have experience in the development and maintenance of detailed test plans and procedures, software defect tracking and reporting, and the ability to draft comprehensive test reports.

Essential Duties: Define the management, development and execution of white box and/or black box level testing as directed by the QA Manager or QA Architect. Actively development of test plans and procedures as required for specific project requirements. Work closely with project development lead engineers when required. Report and track software defects and verify program fixes. Participate in and provide feedback for different levels of design review. Assist and mentor QA Engineers and Associate QA Engineers as required. To perform any additional duties or responsibilities within the scope of the QA department's mission as directed by the QA Manager. Strong written and verbal communication skills are an essential element of the job.

Experience/Skills
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelorâ??s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, computer science or mathematics); and 5 - 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in developing automated test programs using automated tools such as Segue SilkTest (QA Partner) or Rational Robot (Visual Test). Programming and/or QA experience using C++, Visual Basic, SQL Server, COM, DCOM and .NET for the Windows 2003 and/or XP platform. Candidates must be familiar with the domain of Industrial Automation, which includes using and/or testing MMI (Man Machine Interface) or HMI (Human Machine Interface) products.

Other Qualifications: Knowledge and operation of personal computer hardware and associated operating system software, specifically Windows 2003 or XP. Familiarization with software and/or quality related metrics and statistics desired. Candidates having exposure to Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, HMI, and process control software from different hardware vendors and/or familiarity with different communication protocols will be given special consideration.
