Wonderware has been a leading supplier of manufacturing software since 1987, when the company introduced the first machine interface software based on the Microsoft Windows operating system. Since that time, Wonderware has grown into a global software supplier with multi-industry stability and a 17-year history of successful growth building robust, easy-to-use manufacturing software.

We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Technical Support Engineer at our Lake Forest CA Headquarters.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide technical support to Wonderware software users

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the Technical Support Team you will be responsible for providing solutions to problems and answers to questions posed by customers and Wonderware personnel.

Providing support will involve telephone support and occasional on-site visits. You will be expected to work on complex issues, understands software architecture and design systems, and guide the work of less experienced staff. You will also be working to document and maintain all customer support call activity in the Technical Support Call Tracking Database. You will be interacting extensively with the Maintenance and Development organizations, and may be responsible for some quality assurance activities as they relate to new products, new releases and software error corrections. You will also develop technical support documents such as FAQs, troubleshooting tips, and similar items.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2+ years experience with Wonderware Products
* 3+ years implementing and/or supporting manufacturing software systems
* Windows 2000/2003/XP troubleshooting experience
* On-site troubleshooting or integration experience
* Knowledge of PC hardware
* Strong network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of network diagnostic tools
* 2+ years implementing or supporting experience with Microsoft SQL
* Programming experience with Microsoft C, C++ , C# or Visual Basic
* Strong problem solving skills
* A commitment to customer service
* Solid written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
* Microsoft Certification (Product Specialist or Systems Engineer)
* Wonderware Certified Support Provider (CSP) in 2 or more Wonderware products (InTouch required)
