Based in Lake Forest, Calif., the Wonderware and ArchestrA business units have regional sales and technical support offices throughout North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia to provide support to its network of more than 160 distributor offices.

We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Tech Support Engineer in our Lake Forest, CA headquarters office.

Basic Functions:
Provide applications and technical support to customers and Wonderware personnel using the Wonderware suite of products. This will involve comprehensive telephone support, email support and potential on-site visits.

Responsibilities:
Wonderwareâ??s IndustrialSQL Server product is a Data Historian product that provides high-speed data acquisition and storage and incorporates the full power of Microsoft SQL Server.

As a member of the Technical Support Team you will be responsible for providing solutions to problems and answers to questions posed by customers and Wonderware personnel. You will be responsible for providing support on IndustrialSQL Server, Wonderwareâ??s flagship Data Historian product. Other products will also be assigned.

Providing support for IndustrialSQL Server will involve comprehensive telephone support and occasional on-site visits. You will also be working to document and maintain all customer support call activity in the Technical Support Call Tracking Database. You will be interacting extensively with the QA, Maintenance and Development organizations, and may be responsible for some quality assurance activities as they relate to new products, new releases and software error corrections. You will also develop technical support documents such as FAQâ??s, troubleshooting tips, and similar items.

Experience/Skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· 3+ years experience implementing and/or supporting manufacturing software systems
· 3+ years experience supporting Win2K and/or WinXP Pro based systems
· 3+ years experience supporting relational databases and MES systems.
· Excellent Visual Basic and/or other programming skills
· Strong Networking skills
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and 2000, Microsoft Win2K and WinXP Pro, Oracle 8 or higher, Microsoft Visual Basic
· Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Wonderware Software
· Experience in a Technical Support environment
· PLC and HMI/MMI experience
· Engineering degree or equivalent degree
· Systems integration experience
