Position Summary:

Provides leadership necessary to create and foster a team culture across all functional, industry and product lines. Responsible for overall strategy, results, and coordination of the business development officers and sales support activities associated with potential clients in their respective markets and sectors.
Reports to Business Development Manager/ SVP /EVP
Duties and Responsibilities
* Commits to a targeted level of new client growth by developing a defined strategy and leads origination and sales personnel in implementing that strategy.

* Provides significant mentoring and coaching time to sales and business development staff to ensure career succession planning, as well as increase sales growth potential to the organization: a global vision.

* Responsible for personally selling large single line of business and/or full service Aon HR Outsourcing services in $1 million to $3 million range in a 12-month/annual period.

* Communicates financial and operating goals to sales origination.

* Responsible for the management, selection and recruitment of qualified sales and business development officers.

* Ensures the regular development of sector-specific HR Outsourcing ?solutions? by sector sales leaders and disseminates those products and services through the market area sales leaders.

* Administers performance and compensation processes

* Develops, maintains and secures broad utilization of common prospect management systems.

* Plans and conducts periodic leadership meetings and recognition events.

* Participants in the coordination with the national sales marketing group to provide consistent and high quality document support to originators.

* Reviews, approves, tracks and negotiates fee agreements to ensure that Aon is profitably compensated in a value-based approach for the scope of services and HR Outsourcing costs associated with the agreement.

* Serves as a senior resource to assist in facilitation, problem solving and production on an as-needed basis with individual prospects.

* Coordinates strategies with the relationship management, product management and client services business units as well as with sales origination personnel.

* Promotes and coordinates Aon?s global interdependent business activities in respective sector/market area.

* Responsible for day-to-day resource management, project deliverables/quality, and employee development through direct mentoring and coaching. Completes performance management plans and provides timely performance feedback to staff.


Skill/Competency Requirements:

* Proven sales performer
* Significant experience in complex HR Outsourcing and consulting service strategies
* Exceptionally strong leadership and influencing skills are required to excel in this matrix management environment
* Individual serves as a champion of the business direction and strategies adopted by HR Outsourcing and exemplifies the behaviors defined in the Aon global leadership competencies model

* Demonstrates an aptitude for creating client interest and closing sales

* Ability to discern when an opportunity exists

* Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
