Description
Genesis10 is seeking an SMS Engineer/Architect for a major client in Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time position.

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, day to day maintenance and administration of SMS 2003 global infrastructure.

Responsibilities Include:

- Design and integration of SMS services into global platforms.
- Ongoing health and maintenance of entire SMS infrastructure with zero downtime and 24 x 7 x 365 availability.
- Establishment, testing, monitoring and reporting of SMS 2003 infrastructure health, performance, security, infrastructure backups and disaster recovery solutions.
- Daily SMS 2003 administration: package creation / integration, collection creation, software distribution / advertisements, patch, antivirus, and malware management, asset management and reporting. Custom scripting as necessary.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of SMS 2003 Infrastructure, processes and procedures.
- Train staff on SMS technology, processes, and administration.
- Test and validate updates to SMS infrastructure and related dependencies.
- Engage and lead technical discussions on systems management strategy for the firm.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Required Skills:

- Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
- MCSE certification / SMS certification.
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with heavy focus on enterprise systems management.
- Minimum 3+ years architecting and implementing software distribution systems.
- Minimum 5+ years desktop engineering experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Systems Management Server 2.0 / 2003 and IIS.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, TCP/IP Networking, Windows XP Internals, Windows Installer, Intellimirror, WMI, and SQL server.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Strong technical leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and completely.
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills, highly motivated, energetic, reliable and timely.
- Position is always on call and must be able to work overtime as needed. Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
