Description
Project Description: The candidate will be responsible for validating attacks against clients networks and assessing the impact. If any countermeasures are required, the candidate is responsible for making the appropriate recommendation and working with the customer implementing the recommendation. They must also spend a proportion of his/her time keeping up with current vulnerabilities, attacks and appropriate countermeasures. Ultimately responsible for defining, tracking and maintaining the standard baselines and configuration sets of all SOC managed and/or monitored security devices and implementing industry best practices with regards to firewall and IDS configurations. Additionally will provide advanced technical support to Security Engineers in the SOC. Position is on a rotating shift schedule; so flexible work schedule is a must.

Job Description: 3 years experience. Demonstrated success in managing complex technical projects from the planning phase through completion of the implementation phase. Proficient with the following: Netforensics, Arcsight or Snort, Checkpoint Fw-1/VPN-1, SonicWall Firewall, Nokia IPSO, NetScreen Firewall, Cisco Pix, Cisco IDS, VPNs, Windows 2000/Linux/Unix configuration. C, C++, Perl a plus.
Preferred Certifications Completed: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP,CCSA, CCSE, GIAC, CISSP

Will consider a candidate whose CCNA/CCNP has expired (still include expiration date) but holds an ACTIVE Checkpoint certification
