SOFTWARE DEVELOPER IV

The Baker Atlas Houston Technology Center currently has an opening for a Software Engineer in our Technology Development Group. This position is located at 2001 Rankin Road in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of common components that can be used in various software packages within the company. Must be able to identify the usage patterns of common components and development strategies that are needed in order to create truly common components. Position will be responsible for the management of a common component library that has multiple users. In addition, position will be responsible for routine software development in a team environment. Position will require candidate to work occasional extended hours to meet urgent support requests and multi zone teleconferences.

Skill Requirements:

Good understanding of and experienced in OO analysis and design. Exposure to Unified Process development approach, RUP and UML preferred. Familiar with design patterns, Gamma et. al. preferred. Must understand service oriented architectures. Must be proficient at building graphical user interfaces using WinForms. Must be fluent with C#, VS.NET 2005, .NET Framework 2.0

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree or higher level with 3+ years of team based development experience OR 5+ years of software development experience using an equivalent tool suite.
