POSITION TITLE: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
LOCATION: YORK, PA

A candidate should have 6+ years of experience using a programming language as well as knowledge of C++/C. A candidate will have significant experience working and developing for a purely Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Technology environment. A candidate with .NET knowledge is a plus. Overall, a candidate must have a bachelor's degree in C.S. or
E. E. or other related discipline and 6 to 10 years of related experience.

The candidate will be expected to do the following:
Plan, design, develop and test software systems and applications with unique knowledge in the domains of batch processing as well as manufacturing execution systems.

The candidate should be able to use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of complex issues in creative and effective ways. A candidate should have the ability to work on problems of a diverse scope where the analysis of a situation requires in depth evaluation of variable factors. In addition, a successful candidate will work to determine the approach, methods, and procedures on new assignments, and may coordinate activities of other personnel in a team lead capacity.

This position requires the individual to be independent, requiring very little supervision of day to day tasks. There is a possibility of short-term responsibilities for the candidate in assisting with software testing and/or configuration management of software. These responsibilities are expected to be infrequent in the long-term.

Required skills and experience:
-C/C++ Experience - 2-3 years
-XML - 2 or more years
-Experience developing SQL Server applications 3 or more years
-User Interface Development - 2 or more years
-WEB Development - 3 or more years

Desired skills and experience:
-.NET development experience
-Direct domain experience in a manufacturing plant or domain product development is a major plus but not critical decision factor
-Product development experience - 5+ years is desirable.
