JOB SUMMARY: SPADOC/SDS Subject Matter Expert (IBM/UNIX)



Responsibilities:



As the SPADOC and SDS (Space Data Server) sustainment system administrator, provide configuration management, and system administration for the SPADOC and SDS deployed systems including the CMTS training system at SAFB and the TDF development system.



This includes analysis of Incident Reports and operations support for problematic issues, preparation of SCFs and SCRs, coordination with operations and end users.



Providing technical guidance to CMAFS SPAs, as necessary, to ensure timely resolution of operational issues.



Also provides primary ISSO support for SPADOC and SDS and is the alternate ISSO for VDS.



Other:



Position will require training in Colorado Springs for several months, then permanent placement in the billet in the Vandenburg Air Force base location outside Lompoc, CA.



Relocation assistance from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Lompoc, California / Vandenburg Air Force base may be available.



Shift work required. 24x7 support required.



Technical Skills Required:



Knowledge of SPADOC and SDS systems. In depth knowledge of IBM and VAX hardware and OS.



Security Clearance required to gain access into Operation Centers.



Background Experience Required:



Requires skills in all eight job categories listed in the RFI.



Additional specific skills include:



10 years of IBM MVS/ESA administration experience including RACF and Catalog Maintenance;



5 years of UNIX administration including Trusted Solaris and ISSE guards;



network administration experience with CISCO routers and switches; and



DoD operational systems experience.



SALARY CONSIDERATIONS:



Negotiable based upon years of experience, skill sets, and level of education, as well as geographic location of work site and job title classification. Salary negotiations for this position start at: $75K+ annually, plus full benefits for full-time employees.
