Description
Join Kronos' Cleburne, TX engineering organization as an SQA Engineer. Provide strong, hands-on contribution to the ongoing qualification of web-based applications in an OS/390 and zOS environment running DB2. Create test strategies and automation routines, perform test execution, troubleshoot failures, and identify problems and risks uncovered during qualification process. Generate analysis and results data and engage in problem resolution. Contribute to overall integration analysis, project planning and scope estimation.

The candidate must be willing to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility in the prioritization of responsibilities. In addition, the candidate must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner, work independently to analyze and solve complex problems, demonstrate excellent organizational skills and have a strong commitment to productivity.

Qualifications/Requirements
- BS in Computer Science
- Minimum of 4 years Software Quality Assurance experience preferred, with exposure to formal methods and processes
- Understanding of SQA product lifecycle: project and test plans, requirements documents, test specification and, results reporting
- Strong understanding of system, regression and error testing and defining strategies to assure system stability
- Experience testing web-based products that use industry-standard databases is required
- Experience testing Java based applications and SQL is preferred
- Excellent written/verbal skills for reporting problems and communicating with other engineers
- Effective interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
