Location: Santa Monica, CA
Duration: 10-12 months

DUTIES

- 3-5 years of experience, Perform white box testing in windows platforms.

- Analyze customer cases, debug problems and help to provide solutions.

- Conduct development doc reviews, actively participate in the QA process, and be responsible for writing and executing test plans according to the test specifications.

- Work closely with cross-functional project team (US) to identify and resolve overall project issues.

- Reports to the SQA Manager and works closely with management, Development Leads, and Software Engineering Architects to ensure quality is built into the entire software delivery process from requirements gather through post-deployment support.

SKILLS:

- Functions as an internal consultant to QA project leads.

- Ability to work with a QA project lead to help solve customer issues.

- Ability to give presentations of work at QA meetings in a clear and concise manner.

- Works with development to help troubleshoot coding problems.

- Works on test script automation procedures using a variety of software programming languages including C++, Java, and ATL as the specific job requires.

- Performs simple tool development and test automation tasks for individual projects or components.

- Participates code and design reviews on code written by development engineers.

- Develops documents, maintains, and trains staff on test automation and environment simulation tools and collects basic SQA metrics.

- Ability to debug and step through a major component of the product being tested. Examples include the ability to identify and locate resource leaks and/or out of bounds conditions.

- Works within established practices to maintain, modify, and enhance existing software quality methods and processes, and participates in the development and testing of new software quality assurance methods.

- Improving the skill set of a junior SQA Engineers.

- Completes process documentation for testing standards, and maintains documentation of test results.

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are also required.

- Track record of isolating issues so that they can be reliably reproduced.

- Automation frameworks experience a plus
