Connexion Systems & Engineering, a Boston based IT and Engineering Solutions Company immediately seeks individuals with the following skills: Job# 3690Sr. SQA Test EngineerThe Senior SQA Test Engineer will be joining a fast paced, highly technical team responsible for the verification and validation of appliance products for the data network environment. The products include testing web based management software, network integration functions and developed technologies to differentiate products in the market place.The candidate will work closely with software developers and architects during feature design to devise test strategies and use cases for acceptance testing. The candidate will be required to work on a small team as the primary QA representative for a feature. The candidate will write and implement software quality assurance plans, test strategies and test procedures, including transition from manual to automated environments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop test strategies and plans for features based on requirement or design specifications.Create use cases for key features as part of the requirements/design phase of projectsAssist in debugging software and hardware problems, reporting and tracking feature defect. Develop test task lists and strategies to deliver products on schedule.Have the ability to define/adjust assignments and meet schedules in a dynamic environmentDevelop QA methodologies and processes to deliver high quality products.Review user documentation to ensure that it accurately describes system functionality.Participation in requirements and design reviews of new functionality.Provide mentoring and leadership to junior members of the SQA teamAll other duties as requested by supervisor or department head.KEY SKILLS:Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong Network management skills, especially in Microsoft environmentAbility to design test plans and cases from requirements and design specificationsAttention to detailEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:BSCS, BSEE or equivalent5+ years of software/system test experience.
